Dari total 16 nominasi, penyanyi asal Kanada tersebut bersaing di kategori bergengsi seperti Top Male Artist dan Top Hot 100 artist. Di kategori Top Male Artist, The Weeknd harus bersaing dengan Drake, Juice WRLD, Lil Baby, dan Pop Smoke.
